Multi-functional Lathe Components Detailed explanation:
(1)Bed:
Function: The bed is fixed on the left and right legs. As the support of the overall structure of the lathe, it bears the cutting force and weight of each component during the production process, ensuring the stability and rigidity of the machine tool, which is crucial to ensuring the processing accuracy. All major components of the lathe are installed on the bed, which ensures the accurate relative position of each component.
(2)Headstock:
Function: The headstock is the core component of the lathe. It is fixed at the left end of the bed. It is equipped with the spindle and transmission shaft, speed change, direction change, lubrication and other mechanisms. It is mainly used to fix and drive the spindle. The headstock drives the spindle to rotate through the motor to provide the required processing speed. The front end of the spindle can be installed with accessories such as three-jaw chucks and four-jaw chucks to clamp the workpiece. Its accuracy and stability directly affect the processing performance of the lathe and ensure high-precision cutting.
(3)Tailstock:
Function: The tailstock is installed on the tailstock guide rail of the bed to support one end of the workpiece, especially for long workpieces. The tailstock can be adjusted and moved longitudinally along the guide rail as needed, and then fixed at the required position to ensure sufficient stability when processing different workpieces. The sleeve on the tailstock can be installed with the top and various hole processing tools to support the workpiece or perform hole processing on the workpiece. Shaking the handwheel to move the sleeve can realize the longitudinal feed of the tool.
(4)Powered Turret:
Function: The powered turret is one of the key components of a multifunctional lathe. It controls the motor, drive gear and transmission system of the machine tool through the CNC system, so that the end power head and the side power head can be converted to each other, allowing the tool to rotate and switch automatically during the processing. It can support the rapid switching of up to 12 tools, greatly improving the processing efficiency of the lathe.
