Guangdong JSWAY CNC Machine Tool Co., Ltd. since 2004.
Multi-purpose lathe machines are versatile cnc machine tools that combine multiple functions, typically including:
1. Turning/cutting
2. Drilling
3. Milling
Multi-purpose lathe is a machine tool widely used in various industries. It can perform a variety of processing operations such as turning, milling, and drilling. It is suitable for processing a variety of materials such as metal, wood, and plastic. It is an indispensable equipment in small factories, maintenance workshops, and large-scale production lines. CNC lathe machines are commonly used for glass processing, part recovery, metal spinning, metal processing, wood processing and thermal spraying.
JSWAY has wide ranges of multi axis lathe for sale, such as 3 axis CNC machine, 4 axis CNC machine/CNC mill, twin spindle CNC lathe etc.
GuangDong JSWAY
Multi-purpose lathe Manufacturers
As a professional CNC lathe machine manufacturer, JSWAY offers best quality CNC lathe to customers, China CNC turning factory.
Our multi-purpose lathe includes machine bed, spindle system, CNC system, feed system, clamping system, etc. By integrating multiple functions such as turning, milling, and drilling, it can cope with the processing of a variety of materials from simple (plastic, aluminum alloy) to complex (stainless steel, titanium alloy). At the same time, it adopts an extremely fast and low-noise direct-drive spindle with a speed of up to 5000 rpm. Whether it is single-piece small batch production or large-scale production, it can provide you with efficient and economical processing solutions.
Multi Purpose Lathe Machine Working Principle
Mill-turn machines use CNC systems to control the movement of the workpiece between turning and milling tables to achieve a variety of precision machining. Its main components include machine bed, spindle box, walking board, photoelectric ruler measuring device, etc., with three working directions: X-axis (lathe direction), Y-axis and Z-axis (milling direction). During the processing, the machine tool system will perform lathe-milling composite processing on the workpiece according to the requirements of the CNC program
The bed guide rails of the slant bed CNC lathe are inclined to the ground at an angle (commonly 30°, 45°, 60° or 75°), and the overall layout is a right triangle. The inclined guide rail design not only extends the X-axis travel and allows more tools to be arranged (such as 8/12-station turrets), but also reduces vibration and improves machining accuracy by optimizing the direction of cutting force (consistent with the direction of gravity of the workpiece).
Advantages:
1. Right-angled triangle bed, strong vibration resistance
2. Inclined bed uses gravity to remove chips naturally, avoiding chips from accumulating on the guide rails or screws, extending the life of the equipment
Features | Multi-function lathe | Traditional single-function lathe |
Processing efficiency | Reduce the number of workpiece changes and improve continuity | Frequent equipment switching is required, which takes a long time |
Functional integration | Turning, milling, drilling in one | Single function (such as turning or milling only) |
Floor space | Compact design, saves space | Multiple devices occupy a large area |
Cost investment | High initial investment, low long-term comprehensive cost | Low cost per unit, but high total cost for multiple devices |
Multi-purpose lathes are usually used for glass processing, parts recycling, metal spinning, etc.:
1. Glass processing: Through the high-precision control of the CNC system, it can maintain very high stability during the glass processing process to ensure the accuracy of the size and shape of glass products.
2. Parts recycling: Automatically complete precise turning and trimming of waste parts, restore the shape of parts and reduce waste waste
3. Metal spinning: Through a powerful power system and multi-process processing capabilities, metal spinning, cutting and drilling are efficiently completed, which is suitable for the manufacture of complex metal parts such as automotive engine parts.
Know the Lathe Types: Choose the type of lathe that fits your material needs, such as metalworking lathes, woodworking lathes, or sanding lathes, and consider features such as spindle bores for increased versatility.
Match Part Size: For precision machining, choose a lathe size that fits your workpiece. Consider factors such as "swing" (maximum workpiece radius), and "bed size" (the distance between the headstock and tailstock).
Choose the Right Spindle: Choose a belt-driven or direct-driven spindle based on your needs. Direct-driven spindles are fast, while belt-driven spindles have more power and higher precision.
Performance Specs: Evaluate the lathe's spindle speed, horsepower, and torque. Make sure these parameters meet the requirements for specific workpiece sizes and materials.
