A 2-axis CNC lathe typically offers motion along two primary axes:
X-axis: Horizontal motion parallel to the lathe's spindle axis. It controls the position of the cutting tool along the workpiece's diameter.
Z-axis: Vertical motion perpendicular to the lathe's spindle axis. It controls the longitudinal movement of the cutting tool along the length of the workpiece.
